Forming a New Company

i2india works with inventors to translate science into applications and assess the most appropriate route to commercialisation.

Typically a technology with a wide range of applications is best commercialised through the route of forming a spin-out company whilst single products are more often licensed to commercial partners.
If the inventors and i2india agree to form a spin-out company, we will support the early stage company development by raising seed-funding, recruiting managers, directors and investors, and incubating the company to increase survival and financial security. We aim to attract good quality management with relevant industry experience to accelerate the development of successful companies.

As a company matures we can lead or co-lead larger scale investments to increase company value and development. The money invested will typically be used for continued product development, scaling up manufacturing, clinical trials or certification, sales and marketing and recruiting employees.
