 Director- North India
Job Description / Responsibilities
The Director, North India -will work closely with the CEO developing the strategy for and implementing the growth of the business.
He/she will have early stage venture capital experience covering the entire life cycle of investment – deal origination to investment to ongoing mentoring and growth of the investees. In addition he/she will be from a scientific background, with a track record in licensing or business development. . He/She will work closely with the CEO as a team to build the business.
The individual must be a deal doer who will find exciting technology prospects, establish new companies, bring together the management teams and get them funded.
Desired profile of the Executive:
- 10+ years of professional and relevant experience
- Experience of creating new ventures and writing business plans in biotech/pharma/ cleantech/ healthcare/lifesciences
- Strong commercial awareness with proven ability to source and close commercial deals involving different types of technology
- Essential - First degree in engineering, life-science or pure science. Desirable - MBA
- Experience of working fund raising involving venture capital or other investors
- Experience of negotiation of legal agreements and licenses
- Extensive knowledge of India, its laboratories/educational/research institutions
